Comments
For each course, institutions must provide key information such as the institution name, course code, section number, instructor name(s), and semester of instruction. The process emphasizes comprehensive reporting by requiring all sections and instructors associated with OER-supported courses to be included.
In addition to course information, institutions are asked to provide historical textbook data for each course. This includes the title and ISBN of the previously assigned commercial textbook, along with the lowest and highest retail prices. These data allow NMOER to estimate the financial impact of OER adoption and calculate potential student cost savings.
The assessment process follows specific submission deadlines for each academic term and serves as an important tool for measuring the reach, effectiveness, and economic benefits of OER initiatives across participating institutions.
