Continued conversation about local people, vecinos: Thomas Baca. Recalling his life in his father's ranch in 1897. He was born in 1891 and was married twice, his first wife was Maria Baca, his second wife was Maria Anaya. Family relations and genealogy, state and land inherited from his second wife in Atrisco, Albuquerque. His opinion on the work of attorneys based on his experience fighting to have his estate rights clear and legal, neighbors: the Holguin, los Senas, more on politics and his work in the state legislature as a chairman of the county union workers [in 1938]. A story about Joe Montoya, who approved him to attend the legislation sessions and Montoya's low ways [bribery] to influence the legislation attendance. Another story about el Juez Armijo and how he encouraged don Florencio to run for the legislature as a state representative, but he rejected that proposal as he thought his work focused on his people would not respond to the big political interests. Good humor comments on possible participation in politics as a senior, his experiences in politics in San Miguel when NM was still a territory, San Miguel county was called 'el Condado Imperial' by powerful men in the area, his republican party beginnings and some historical information about the foundation of the two political parties: Republican and Democratic, the abolition of slavery, political events. Conversation ends with reflection about equal rights for all men of all ethnic ancestries.
