Continued: the sawmill and ranch in Laguna Negra owned by her grandfather. They used to grow a lot of potatoes. Memories of her house in Guadalupita, los fogones mexicanos. Her family, the Riveras used to have a lot of farm animals in their ranch. Describing the physical features of her family, their skin color. One of her uncles, Vicente Rivera died crushed by Logs in an accident with his truck. Talking about her mother and the economic limitations she grew up with. Recalling her childhood friends; Hispanic and white girls. More on her neighbors, family relations and related stories. Poverty and harsh conditions in the area. Talks about a case of food poisoning in the García's family that ended up with botulism after eating packed green chili presumably expired.
