Abstract
The principal purpose of this study is to accumulate as much material as possible pertaining to witches and witchcraft in the Hispanic folklore of New Mexico, and to make a critical and analytical study of this material. There are many articles and stories in various periodicals, folklore journals, collections of folktales, and varied sources; but there is no work devoted exclusively to this particular phase of New Mexican folklore.
