Her parents and her rebellious behavior as a young girl; her grandfather was French. Stories of her childhood and upbringing in the ranch. Her father was a reticent man. When her parents died, she became the care taker of her family and younger siblings at 12 years old [She got married a little before her father died], family relationships, her high temper and ways of getting along with others when she was young: 'Yo era muy mala pero todo eso se quita con el tiempo y la fé en Dios', 'me gustaba que me pegaran para llorar'. Memories of her mother as an undestanding and reserved woman. Her views of life, the spirit and the body. She doesn't believe in life after death. She read books in Spanish. She used to think she would die. People in the past used to be happier with less. She used to work as 'enjarradora' but life became harder in Arroyo Hondo, so she migrated to Santa Fe. La vida antes: la gente se levantaba muy temprano para trabajar y los niños ayudaban; she learned how to weave socks. She knew how to make jabón y amole to do the laundry. A second female speaker (unknown name) arrives and joins the last segment of the conversation.
