Abstract

The opioid crisis is an increasing issue globally, and particularly in the United States. Recent advancements have shown that vaccines targeting opioid drugs are a promising new therapeutic option to combat opioid use disorder and overdose. Our group has developed a novel opioid vaccine using a virus-like particle based design. Here we demonstrate its efficacy in targeting multiple opioid drugs.
