Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was (1) to survey the reading interests of eighty-three seventh grade students of both sexes at Jefferson Junior High School, Albuquerque, New Mexico; (2) to show the degree to which different levels of intelligence in the survey group produced differences in reading interests; and (3) to determine whether literature in the texts used by students in the survey group satisfies these interests.
