Abstract

Statement of the problem. It is the purpose of this study to make a historical investigation of the schools and the host towns of New Mexico. It is proposed that:

1. The schools were an important factor in the ghost towns of New Mexico.
2. The contributions of the schools in the ghost towns of New Mexico were extensive and significant.
3. The schools reflected life in the ghost towns of New Mexico.
4. The schools affected life in the ghost towns of New Mexico.
