Depositions

Deposition records provided by Hall & Monagle include transcripts, exhibits, and word indexes related to depositions in cases against the Archdiocese of Santa Fe as well as individual churches or clergy members in New Mexico, including the Servants of the Paraclete. Deponents are typically church officials, while expert deponents may have worked in some capacity with the ASF or may be entirely unaffiliated.

Folders related to specific individuals contain a wider array of records that were gathered together by Hall & Monagle, potentially for research or use in legal proceedings involving that person. A folder for a specific priest may include the transcripts or excerpts of depositions of other individuals, including other priests and church officials. Deposition transcripts originally located in the Hall & Monagle Depositions series were moved to this series, and can be linked to their original personnel-type file by item title or folder location.
