A campaign in front of a church in Recife looks for help in confronting the problems of the Northeast. It is in these urban centers that the enormous gap between wealth and poverty in Brazil is most strikingly displayed. The undeniable economic growth of the "miracle years" was achieved at a social cost only now being calculated, and the country faces daunting challenges saddled by the largest debt in the developing world.Uma campanha em frente de uma igreja em Recife procura ajuda para confrontar os problemas do Nordeste. É nesses centros urbanos que a enorme lacuna entre riqueza e pobreza no Brasil é mais aberrantemente visível. O inegável desenvolvimento económico dos "anos do milagre" foi conseguido a um custo social somente agora calculado, e o país enfrenta desencorajadores desafios, sobrecarregado pela maior dívida do mundo.
