Abstract

The file assesses the financial ability of Duke City Lumber and its parent corporation, U.S. Industries, Inc. (USI), to comply with New Mexico Air Quality Control Regulation No. 402 governing emissions from wood-waste burners. Prepared by the University of New Mexico Bureau of Business and Economic Research for the New Mexico Environmental Improvement Division, the study was conducted in response to Duke City Lumber’s request for a variance based on claims of undue economic burden.
