Explanation of how land was distributed and continued to be owned by the heirs of original recipient's of the  Merced de Atrisco. Memories of her childhood and her grandfather's ranch. More on her family genealogy and memories of her grandparents, las Posadas as a teenager in Barelas. Luminarias and food in her grandmother Petronila's house in Armijo for Christmas. Life in her grandfather's ranch: feeding los peones  [ranch workers] who used to work in the fields. Description of the ranch and the bridges in Armijo. Jose Miguel Baca used to host a baile [party] for young girls who came of age in Armijo. The Atrisco Land Grant and the heirship land rights, the town original administrative division. The area was very green and not very populated in the thriving times of the land grant. Background of the Atrisco town from her research on genealogy and history of her family as original heirs of the Merced de Atrisco.
