Discussion topics: Born on August 6, 1901, family genealogy, attended the local Presbyterian elementary school and Menaul High School, became a teacher and studied at NM Highlands University to get accreditation to teach in public schools in northern NM. He taught for 30 years. His education was funded by private scholarships. He studied Spanish in High School and in college. He liked to teach and loved Spanish. A bill proposition when NM became state mandated that Spanish and English would be the languages of public offices and businesses, but he regrets having seen that politicians had made English the sole official language in the state.
