ca. 1990-2000 [Loud background music] 103 years old talks about working in 'La Borrega' [sheep herder] when he was young. There were large areas for grazing the sheep, but later the land started to be fenced and the free range was disappearing. People used to live on farming different crops and all the neighbors used to help with the ranch chores. Men did not use to migrate for seasonal jobs and all the ranchers in the area used to share their harvests to survive the winter time. The politics at that time, he worked in the railroad. He thinks people used to have more to eat as they used to grow their own food in their ranches. He tells the interviewer that he doesn't remember cuentos or dichos as he fell and hit his head not long ago. Story about La Virgen María, verses of 'La Huera', sings 'La Golondrina' and other songs with his daughter and other stories.
