[In video collection] Family genealogy, places where they used to live when she was young, and famliy relations. Her father was a 'borreguero' [sheep herder] and had a sawmill shop where she and her siblings used to help. Her father used to go out of state for seasonal work during the summer. She remembers one of those journeys when the whole family accompanied her father to Wheatland, Wyoming to stay with him in the farm where he used to work. Memories of the stay in Wheatland during that summer. Back in Monte Aplanado, her grandmother used to have apple orchards and livestock in her ranch. Her family used to grow wheat and oats, she used to help with the ranch chores. Her family had a natural fresh water spring that used to be a good resource to water their fields and grow animals, but later this fresh water spring became an object of dispute with other neighboring ranchers. His father used to water his plots with water from the acequia. She attended school in Monte Aplanado. She says the level of education was poor in the school at that time. A story of brujería concerning a neighbor named Abelino Espinoza who was accused of brujería [Witchcraft]. Talking about neighbors and their families. When she was young she used to clean houses and worked for the Centro de Salud. At the time of this interview, there were about 30 families in Monte Aplanado, much less than there used to be when she was young, The patron of the village is 'El Santo Niño del Valle". Her grandmother used to tell her stories while food canning; 'empacando manzana'.
