Family genealogy; her maternal great grandmother was a teacher in Mora before the opening of public schools. She used to teach literacy, Mathematics, and religion in Spanish in different small communities. Students used to pay this teacher in-kind [un intercambio de productos]. Her Ducht ancestry. Talks about the construction of 'La Capilla de Santiago', her father and the village neighbors built this chapel, describes relatives on the Maes family side; Simon Maes, a poet from Mora. Memories of her life as a young girl: comes from a family of farmers, they had cattle, and the whole family used to help with the harvesting of crops in the ranch. Working on the acequias, grains, vegetables, and other products grown in the area. Her family used to grow wheat and take it to the Cassidy's Molino [grinder]. Memories of her attending school in Mora during WWII. Her father was a WWI veteran and her bother served in the WWII. Her father got sick affected by the mustard gas in Germany during WWI, but lived until he was 88.
