[ca. 1990-2000] Continued: He worked with the police department and stories about local murders in Mora. One of those stories is about a young woman who killed her father because of sexual abuse and mistreatment. Another story concerning a group of white guys in a party who were misbehaving against a Hispanic young guy. Stories about white deputies: one named Winston who used to profile and ticket Hispanic New Mexicans. Political influence on the job of law and order. After he left his job as a marshal he moved to Cheyenne where he worked with the police department for four years; stories about some warrant cases. His work supporting elections, and his uncorrupted policing practices. Politicians' DUI. After four years, he moved to Idaho and worked with the police department there. Pete Rodriguez used to be a desk cop who used to profile Hispanic people for tickets. Don Agustin Esquibel was trained in Colorado Springs to work on crime investigation. There used to be an important community of New Mexican people in Cheyenne. He returned to Mora, NM in 1972. He built his house with adobes and materials he got in a warehouse that was going out of business. Story about running a tortilla business, his beginnings and the improvement in techniques to make a firm corn tortilla that became very popular in restaurants in Idaho. The name of his tortilla business was 'La Chiquita'. He ended his business due to heart disease and not being able to continue with such heavy work.
