Continued: Family relations: other Arellanos related and not related in the area. The Arellanos in Ratón who came from Mexico, the Arellanos and Jacquez from Taos. Manuel's uncle Jacobo Arellano had un cañón [a cannon] that was inherited by his children. The Velardes who moved to California, looking at a picture of his mother's first husband, other relatives who came from La Culebra. Recalling other families who moved in; Los Sanchez and the return of the rest of the Arellanos in his family to Colorado. He met a relative in Wyoming. Family coming from La Polvadera. Rudela Gonzales, Ruben Gallegos and other neighbors that were the first settlers in Chama. Other Arellanos in Cuba but not related, [Daniel] Arellano, a well known musician, Los Chavez from la Polvadera, also related to this Arellano family. Antonio Córdova, and a story about the Gallegos who came int the 1900s and brought captive Indians with them. Looking at a census document to identify some local people that used to live in the area such as the Zamoras and the Manzanares. Looking at two CDs with music of Daniel Arellano, talking about local people; the Velasquez, Lorenzo Valdez, County Manager of Cañones, The Olivas, and small communities up north such as 'Rosa'.
