Abstract
This captivating film tells the inspiring story of Lorenzo Candelaria, a seventh-generation New Mexican farmer dedicated to sustainable agriculture. "Harvest" explores Candelaria's deep connection to the land, his innovative farming practices, and his commitment to preserving traditional ways of life. The Candelaria’s farm was started in 1692 and is maintained to this day by the family. Born in 1946, Lorenzo's passion for cultivating healthy, sustainable food was deeply rooted in his belief that "the land is paramount." Beyond farming, Lorenzo's interests were as diverse as his land. He was a renowned winemaker, musician, and a pioneer in the revival of blue corn flour. His dedication to food production extended beyond his own fields, as he mentored countless students in the art of sustainable agriculture.
