Abstract
Monthly Bulletin of the Employment Security Commission of New Mexico (November 1947) provides a comprehensive overview of employment trends, unemployment compensation activity, veterans' readjustment allowances, employment service operations, and employer coverage in New Mexico during November 1947. The bulletin further announces a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics under which the Employment Security Commission would begin producing state employment estimates in 1948. Extensive statistical tables provide county-level benefit distributions, employment service activities, self-employed veterans' claims, unemployment compensation claims, and employer coverage data. The publication serves as an important historical source for understanding postwar economic growth, labor market conditions, unemployment insurance administration, and workforce development in New Mexico.
