UNM currently has one open textbook available on the repository. In the fall of 2017, Professor Zachary Sharp published Principles of Stable Isotope Geochemistry, 2nd Edition, a 13-chapter textbook written to accompany a course in Earth and Planetary Sciences. As of March 28, there have been over 6,800 downloads of the textbook worldwide. The popularity of this textbook is attributable to Dr Sharp's initial promotion on a listserv and his continuing updates to the text. Professor Sharp estimates each student who uses his textbook saves $100.
