Historia personal: life in the ranch when she was a child, sowing the land, they weeded the crops [escardar], shepherding goats, comían mejor todo era más saludable. Making food preserves (alverjon, green beans), meat, posole, apples and tasajos [squash jerky] in clay ovens [bien enjarradito el hornito]. Gathering piñon, preparation of capirotada, quelites, verdolagas. Her father used to make tewas [buckskin shoes]; making socks and the process of coloring yarn with plants; making soap. Her adventures when she used to ride horses. Growing crops, process of cleaning and grinding wheat for bread and tortillas. Fixing foods for the winter. Hispanic foods are similar to the Indians. Describing one visit to her compadre in Picuris Pueblo: women were grinding corn, entered the kiva. She attended two funerals in Picuris, Indian burial and mourning customs.
