Continued conversation about working in the fields and their views on education and schooling in their village. The level of instruction was very poor in their school to the point that the school was closed and they eventually were transferred to another school in El Vadito then to El Chamizal and High School in Peñasco. Education does not always grant a good job. As a second language speaker of English they feel they are criticized or discriminated by other members of the community who think they are not speaking English correctly. They think that their significant learning and skills happened at work rather than in school. Discussion about parenting, respect to elders by using 'usted' instead of 'tu'. New ways of the young generations (wearing makeup, hair color, fake eyelashes, etc). Ideas of education that relies on skills and learnings the come from home.
