Library Scholarship Day celebrates the diverse and dynamic research contributions of library faculty and staff across the University of New Mexico’s three campus libraries – the University Libraries on central campus, the Health Sciences Library & Informatics Center (HSLIC), and the Law Library. In addition to supporting faculty and student researchers through collections and services, academic librarians also engage in a wide range of their own scholarship. Their studies examine information access and literacy, explore innovative teaching and learning practices, assess research impact, investigate the application of emerging technologies, and translate findings into actionable strategies for library practitioners as the role of libraries in higher education and society continues to evolve. This body of work contributes to UNM’s broader academic and professional communities.
