Abstract
This law declares a national interest in electricity generation from the use of renewable energy sources in Argentina. It calls for increased research on renewable energy technology development as well as an increase in the manufacture of equipment for this purpose. It sets the goal of having 8% of Argentina's national energy consumption derived from renewable energy sources within ten years of its enactment.
