Abstract
The report examines the changing structure of commercial banking in New Mexico, analyzing growth in deposits, loans, resources, and lending patterns between 1948 and 1958. It also presents an analysis of the 1957 Census of Governments, including the role of federal employment in New Mexico and its significance to the state's economy.
