Abstract

This report documents the processing and statistical analysis of a survey of unemployed Navajo individuals residing off the reservation, including labor force status, employment barriers, education, mobility, commuting preferences, training interests, income, and household demographics. The volume contains survey codebooks, variable definitions, recoding procedures, frequency tables, and tabulated results used by the University of New Mexico Bureau of Business and Economic Research in its study of Navajo labor market conditions during the late 1970s.
