Abstract

The New Mexico Manpower Review was prepared by the Research and Statistics section for the Employment Security Commission of New Mexico for November of 1974. It is a report on the state's employment during a national recession, which until November was comparatively better off than the rest of the country. When the economic downturn began to spread to other industries, such as manufacturing, New Mexico saw unemployment increase to 6.9%. Other industries, like mining, government, insurance, etc., were able to maintain performance.
