Abstract

The New Mexico Manpower Review was prepared by the Research and Statistics section for the Employment Security Commission of New Mexico for December of 1974. It is a report on the state's employment and economic activity; unemployment was worsening in December with a seasonally adjusted rate of 7.5% (up from 6.9%). The failing trade industry was unable to offset the effects of seasonal unemployment in the construction and agricultural industries. Manufacturing continued to experience losses while the only favorable industries were banking, insurance, and government.
