Abstract

The New Mexico Manpower Review was prepared by the Research and Statistics section for the Employment Security Commission of New Mexico for February of 1974. It is a report on the state's employment and economic activity; unemployment benefits rose in February by an unusually high amount, but substantial increases in the labor force helped to offset a high unemployment rate. Non-agricultural industries experienced job increases that were consistent with seasonal trends and the mining industry continued with strong growth (1,000 jobs added within a year and 100 within the month).
