Abstract

The New Mexico Labor Market Review was prepared by the Research and Statistics section for the Employment Security Commission of New Mexico for February of 1976. It is a report on the state's employment and economic activity; total unemployment rose but was expected by seasonal patterns so the adjusted unemployment rate stayed the same from January 1976. New Mexico's unemployment rate was lower than the nations: 6.9% and 7.6%, respectively. This was from a more-than-expected increase in employment across multiple industries (mostly state government).
