One of Father Albert's community projects was organizing and presenting the performance skit "Las Comadres de Alameda y Jarales" which was a community-based comedy skit entirely in New Mexico regional Spanish and Spanglish. From 1980-1982, the skit was performed live to entertain parishioners at various New Mexico Catholic churches for events mostly related to the Cursillo movement (adult Catholic educational retreats) and the Catholic Daughters of America. It was also performed at the New Mexico State Fair and for the "People of God" TV show. In 1980, the skit was recorded for public distribution on audio cassette tape by Father Albert. The CSWR collection of Father Albert's archival material houses the original audio recording and the 60:00 minute commercial cassette tape publication.

New Mexico Spanish Language Archival Recovery Project:
The Father Albert M. Gallegos Papers: Audio Recordings (MSS unprocessed 2017-10-24) is one of the ethnographic oral history collections archived at the Center for Southwest Research (CSWR) that are part of the New Mexico Spanish Language Archival Recovery Project. Initiated in 2025 by archivist Samuel Sisneros and Center for Regional Studies fellow Feliza Monta Jameson with the assistance of UNM Libraries’ Digital Initiatives and Scholarly Communication Department, the objective of the project is to consolidate and coordinate CSWR archival collections containing interviews of native New Mexico Spanish speakers. The project involves recovering, regenerating, preserving and extending the ethnographic studies done by earlier investigators, researchers and producers. By using current digital and online technologies, this project intends to bridge the accessibility gap between their work (1960s-1990s) and the present.
