Abstract
It is the purpose of this study to supplement the recognized geologic field relations with a laboratory study of the mineral assemblage of the area and its paragenesis. It is hoped that the results may be employed in amplifying the knowledge of the origin of ore bodies in Poughkeepsie Gulch. The work as presented in this thesis consists of a description of the general mineralogy, descriptions and analyses of the ores by mine suites, and conclusions based upon the observed paragenesis. This material is preceded by introductory remarks on the source of data, previous work, and geologic setting.
