Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the stratigraphic and paleontologic relations, the petrographic and insoluble-residue analysis and collation, methods of correlation and means of identification, and the geologic history and economic significance of the Gray limestone member of the Madera formation, as well as to define more sharply the present gradational boundaries.
