Abstract
It is the purpose of the problem of this study to (1) measure the readability of science textbooks authorized for use in the public high schools of New Mexico; (2) learn the frequency of the use of each of the texts studied; (3) determine whether a relationship exists between readability and frequency of use; and (4) evaluate the information obtained as a guide to public school administrators in their selection of science textbooks.
