Abstract
It is the purpose of this study to: (1) examine the methods used by schools, if any, to assist their pupils to gain useful work experiences during their high school attendance years; (2) ascertain the degree of participation of pupils in programs of in-school work experiences; (3) describe the nature of provisions being made within these schools for in-school work activities at present; and (4) record the opinions of superintendents of school systems (county, independent and state). Regarding the educational values of such programs the latter are included for purposes of comparison of the state of New Mexico with other states.
