Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate two basic questions. Can present screening measures successfully differentiate between children with high and low predispositions to fantasy in this particular population? If so, will the two groups respond differently to toys which vary on the basis of their form and structure, and will the groups differ on certain other behavioral correlates of fantasy such as persistence, originality of story themes and flexibility? The two parts of the study corresponded to the two questions being raised.
