Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to identify and analyze the characteristics, functions performed, self-perceived continuing-education needs, and educational delivery systems preferred by a randomly selected sample of full-time municipal and country recreation and park professionals located in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. A secondary purpose was to utilize the findings and make recommendations for continuing-education delivery systems.
