Abstract

It is the specific purpose of this study (1) to present the history of teacher certification in New Mexico; (2) to show what progress has thus far been made in education within the the state through means of teacher certification; (3) to compare the present practices in New Mexico with those in neighboring states; and (4) to determine the possible future trends.
