Abstract
It will be the purpose of this study (1) to examine the historical and philosophical bases for granting credit to a student for the work he does in non-academic subjects in high school; (2) to determine the practices of the secondary schools of New Mexico in granting credit for non-academic experiences; and (3) make recommendations leading toward the acceptance of systematic practices throughout the state.
