Abstract
The purpose of this study was (1) to relate three cases of severe reading disability in which the condition variously described as strephosymbolia, congenital alexia, or mirror vision has been considered a contributing cause of the reading handicaps; (2) to present the opinions held by various authors concerning such cases; and (3) to describe various types of remediation attempted for such cases.
