78) The porta-bandeira and mestre sala. Following the comissão da frente, a group composed of the the elders of the samba school, comes the porta-bandeira carrying the flag of the school. Each school has its own colors and emblem. The porta-bandeira is courted by the mestre-sala, who accompanies and dances with the porta-bandeira.78) Porta-bandeira e mestre-sala. Seguindo a comissão de frente, uma ala composta por pessoas importantes da escola de samba, vem a porta-bandeira carregando a bandeira da escola. Cada escola tem as suas próprias cores e emblemas. A portabandeira é cortejada pelo mestre-sala, que a acompanha e dança com ela.
