Description
A group of migrants huddle on the back of a truck in the interior of Bahia. Historically, the Northeast was the most populous region of the country and for many years a comparatively profitable region of Brazil. Today with a little less than 29 % of the total population, it is the poorest region in the country, especially the sertão area.Grupo de imigrantes empilhados em um caminhão no interior da Bahia. Historicamente o Nordeste foi a região mais populosa e por muitos anos uma região comparativamente rendosa no Brasil. Hoje, com um pouco menos de 29% da população total, é a região mais pobre do país, especialmente na área do sertão.
