Description
The Itaipu hydroelectric plant, in western Paraná. A joint venture with Paraguay, it is the largest in the world and its dam has created a 170 km long lake. Despite numerous dam projects, many regions in the North and the Northeast still receive insufficient electricity.Represa hidroelétrica de Itaipu, no oeste do Paraná um desenvolvimento conjunto com o Paraguai, sendo que sua represa criou um lago com 170 milhões de comprimento. A despeito de numerosos projetos hidroelétricos, muitas regiões do norte e nordeste do Brasil, ainda não dispõem de suficiente energia elétrica.
