Abstract
The primary purpose of this research problem is to give a preliminary accounting of the species of Hydracarina or water mites found at several mountain localities in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, and New Mexico. In general, since the collecting was confined to altitudes above 4500 feet, the results of this problem constitute a survey of some of the highest forms of water mites of the United States.
