Abstract
Validation of the results obtained by the cuvette when used on blood with comparatively high carbon dioxide tensions will significantly extend the utility of the photoelectric method and is one of the objectives of this study. A second objective of this research is to develop by in vitro technique a simplified method for studying the effects of carbon dioxide on the human oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve.
