Abstract
In 2001, the Bureau of Business and Economic Research surveyed 5,000 households in the unincorporated areas of Bernalillo County to solicit information on residential water system types (city or well); residents' perceptions of water quality, safety, taste, and availability; perceptions of water testing, education, and regulation; perceptions regarding the cost of water; and residents' use of in-house water purification systems. The survey also collected household demographic variables. The survey findings are organized by topic and geographic area. The survey instrument is reproduced in appendix A. Data are displayed in tables and a map.
