Abstract
This study was commissioned by the University of New Mexico Office of Institutional Advancement to study the economic impact of UNM on the New Mexico economy in Fiscal Year 2003. The results are presented in three parts: first, a traditional economic analysis showing how the dollars that flow to UNM from out-of-state generate additional economic activity in New Mexico; second, a workforce-development analysis using alumni and labor force data; and third, an overview of the Science and Technology Corporation, UNM's technology transfer entity.
