Abstract
The report analyzes New Mexico’s supply, demand, and projected need for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing aides, finding significant statewide shortages and forecasting growing deficits through 1970 unless recruitment, retention, and nursing education programs are expanded. Prepared by Everett G. Dillman for the University of New Mexico Bureau of Business Research, the report provides data on workforce distribution, salaries, turnover, training, and healthcare staffing needs across the state.
