[Conversation mostly in Spanish interwoven with some English] Family genealogy, family relations. Her brother, Frank Gonzales was a commissioner of the Merced de Atrisco. La gente antes era obediente. Families in Atrisco used to live on farming and raising sheep. Her father was a rancher and used to grow corn, wheat, melons, watermelons, green chile, and other vegetables. La Merced and land distribution to heirs. Food preservation underground as they did not have a refrigerator and fixing meat jerky for the winter time. People have changed with modernity, they don't pay attention to each other. Antes la gente platicaba más y los vecinos ayudaban con el trabajo del rancho. La gente era más unida. Her mother used to tell them stories as they were helping with the ranch work such as cleaning the beans. The church in Atrisco. Los Ranchos de Atrisco was the area where the rich and owners of large extensions of land used to live. Las festividades, las luminarias de leña, la fiesta de la Sagrada Familia y de Santa Ana. Los santos más importantes en la comunidad: San Felipe, San Isidro Labrador, San Juan. La gente bailaba polka y cuadrillas durante las celebraciones de los santos.
